Kids Write Now!
A writing incentive program at the San Francisco Public Library
San Francisco tweens, ages 10-14, join our inclusive community for a month-long creative writing contest in November.

The more you write, the more you win!
Our Program
Kids Write Now! is a creative writing incentive program aimed at reaching younger teens, ages 10-14. The goal is simple: to encourage tweens to write outside of school.

Tied to National Novel Writing Month in November, Kids Write Now! gives young authors increasingly exciting prizes as they meet word count goals. On weekends, writers will also have the opportunity to participate in workshop sessions led by professional instructors from WritopiaLab, a nationally established and acclaimed program that develops emerging young writers' voices. Writers will also hear from professional Bay Area authors.

The best part? This program is completely free of cost to all participants.

Kids Write Now! runs through the Richmond / Senator Milton Marks Branch of the SFPL.
